The Swing

Fragonard - swingthursday, 2016 august 18–because her usual show is a repeat, it was tv night at our home for both of us–oscar slept. first we watched the agenda in the summer host nam kiwanuka talk with yvonne heath about end-of-life conversations (tho susan kept channel-flipping to the olympics), then amanda vickery outlined western women’s rise to political power, this time in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, and waldemar januszczak (who admitted he’s not fond of the rococo age) took us on a tour of the rococo age, including one my elder daughter’s favorites, the swing by fragonard (1732-1806–pictured).
