<note to self>

nativity refugeestrudeau pledged to admit 25,000 refugees by the new year, who are, no doubt, harried. in contrast, the book i’m reading, true refuge (which i blogged about last week) is about finding inner tranquility. i wonder if i would even seek inner tranquility if my outer tranquility evaporated? as my son pointed out, jesus started out in the refuge of a stable, an event we remember at this time.

fall leaves--homage to josef albers-from a non-human space to a very human one: reading about new york’s pennsylvania station, opened on this date in 1910 but demolished in 1963, leading to new york’s ‘landmarks law’. rebuilt that year but called an ‘architectural crime scene’. at one time, ‘one entered the city like a god; one scuttles in now like a rat.’ susan played with her grand-daughter. (‘fall leaves–homage to josef albers’ by pkl [full-size], also very human, though inspired by nature’s fall colours.)
