Camped out on Victoria Island in the Ottawa River not far from Parliament Hill, she wonders why the Prime Minister can find the time to meet with Justin Bieber but not with her.

Idle No More spokesperson Pam Palmater says ‘that while the impetus for the movement were the Conservative government’s treaty changes and funding cuts to First Nations organizations and communities, the long-term goal of the movement is to “get this treaty relationship back on track so that we’re all sharing the land and resources in an equitable way.” ‘
