on throwing things

why poverty? series host ian brown warned us to put throwables beyond reach for, in solar mamas, we were about to encounter a lazy and infuriating husband who did nothing, even hindered, his wife while she did everything: cooking, cleaning, laundering, childcare, and now she wanted to learn solar engineering, to better herself, her kids, her community, her future.

on another continent (that was asia, now we’re in africa, but why are we in switzerland? oh, that who owns africa) we can still throw things but, as we learn in stealing africa, since africa’s resources end up here, we only have ourselves to throw things at. no throwing the dog, though.
