infinity always gives me vertigo

i wonder if we can truly know unity while we are human, or if to be human is to behold duality.

i mean, i believe everything is one, but my experience is manifold. for example, right now i am alive–i think–but there was a time when i wasn’t, and there will be again when i won’t, yet i believe in the oneness of all, the unity, the interconnectedness, the singularity, which means i am/am not n/either/both, and more, and less.

weird, eh?

however, in that instance i (as an individual) cease to be (perhaps)–as bruce cockburn (an individual) sings (unceasingly), ‘infinity always gives me vertigo.’
